Dearest Gale, I am so sorry for your loss of John. I did not know of his illness until recently. I just wanted to express my sincere condolences to you and the rest of the family. I will always remember John as a great speaker, leader and hard worker. I worked with John as you may remember for 14 years at Heilig. He was always so very nice to me and I enjoyed designing showrooms for his regions. He was the best of the best in the management we had. I will always remember when you all hired me to paint some rooms in your house. That was a long time ago, but I will always cherish you all allowing me to help you and you all helping me. What a blessing. I wish I could still paint, but I am still designing thank goodness, thank God.
Peace and Grace,
Dan Mulligan

I was saddened to hear of John's passing,I worked for him at Heilig-Meyers in the 80's and through the closing. He gave me my first store manager position, straight forward as he always was, he told me, "son, now you have to work hard, I believe in you, don't let me down". I never forgot that, and I tried to make sure that he was always proud of his decision. He will be missed, my heart goes out to the family. I apologize for the lateness in this message, I was informed just a few weeks back and didn't have any information on where to send my respects. Rest well John....

Dearest Roxy:
I know your world has been confusing lately but little do you know what a Godsend you have been for your "parents". Just being beside John and touching him was better than any medicine. You brought him such joy every day. Now you have to take care of Gale and love her a little more, listen when she needs to talk and kiss away the tears that seem to fall all too often.
Love you.
